Official rules for challenge prizes
Last updated: September 25, 2026
These are the official rules for every prize draw and prize contest in a challenge on Longevity Germany. They add to our Terms of Service. If you take part in a challenge that has prizes, these rules apply to you.
1. Who organises the draws
The organiser of every prize draw and prize contest in a challenge on Longevity Germany is Valteris GmbH, Am Kaiserkai 59, 20457 Hamburg, Germany ("we", "us"). This applies to all challenges, including those a chapter lead sets up for their city. Chapter leads are volunteers. They can set up a challenge and its prizes, but the organiser is always us. Partners may donate prizes. A partner who donates a prize does not run the draw and has no say in who wins.
2. Apple and Google are not involved
Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of this draw and are not involved in it in any way. This applies to every draw and contest on this page, whether you take part on the website or in an app. Please send any questions about a draw to us, not to Apple or Google.
3. Taking part is free
You do not have to pay or buy anything to take part, and buying something does not improve your chances. The only cost is your usual internet connection.
4. Who can take part
You can take part if you have an account on Longevity Germany and are at least 18 years old, as you confirmed when you signed up. One person, one account: taking part with more than one account is not allowed. People who set up a challenge or run its draw (the chapter lead of that challenge and our own team) cannot win a prize in that challenge. We can exclude anyone who breaks the challenge rules or our Terms of Service, for example with made-up check-ins or several accounts. If someone is excluded after being drawn, the prize goes to a replacement winner.
5. How you enter
You enter by joining the challenge and finishing it: you log at least the number of check-ins the challenge requires. That is the same number that earns its finisher badge, and it is always at least one. You do not need to sign up for the draw separately.
6. How winners are chosen
Each challenge with prizes says how its winners are chosen. Random draw: everyone who finished has the same chance. Our platform picks the winners with a cryptographically secure random number generator. The first person drawn gets the first prize, the second person drawn gets the second prize, and so on. Leaderboard: the prizes go to the top of the final leaderboard, counting only people who finished. First place gets the first prize, second place the second prize, and so on. If people are tied, the order shown on the final leaderboard decides. Nobody can win more than one prize in the same challenge. If fewer people finish than there are prizes, the remaining prizes are not awarded.
7. When and how the draw takes place
When a challenge with prizes ends, it goes into review. We check the entries for rule breaks first. Then the draw is run, or the final leaderboard is read, in the draw tool on our platform, started by our team or by the chapter lead of that city. We aim to do this within 14 days of the end of the challenge. If someone who was drawn turns out not to be eligible, we remove them and draw again among the remaining people who finished. For a leaderboard, the next place moves up.
8. How winners are told
As soon as the winners are confirmed, each winner gets a notification on Longevity Germany that names the prize (and a push notification if they have turned these on). Unless they have turned off challenge emails, they also get an email about it. Everyone who took part is told that the challenge has ended. We then contact the winners by email, at the address on their account, to arrange how they get their prize. If a winner does not reply within 14 days of that email, the prize lapses. We may then award it to a replacement winner, chosen the same way as the original winners.
9. Prizes and how you get them
The prizes are the ones shown on the challenge, including any conditions stated there (for example pickup at a venue in the city). A prize cannot be paid out in cash, exchanged or transferred to another person. If a prize becomes unavailable for reasons we are not responsible for, we may replace it with a prize of at least the same value. Some prizes are donated by partners. If a partner sends or hands over a prize directly, we ask you before we pass your name and delivery details on to them.
10. Your data
To run a draw we use your account, your display name and profile picture, your check-ins in the challenge and your email address. We use them to see who finished, to draw or rank the winners, to tell the winners and to hand over the prizes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, because these rules are an agreement between you and us. When the winners are confirmed, the challenge page shows each prize with the winner's display name and profile picture, as they appear on the winner's profile. How we handle your data and what rights you have is set out in our Privacy Policy.
11. Cancelling or changing a draw
We may cancel, pause or change a draw only for good cause, for example if entries were manipulated, if a technical fault makes a fair draw impossible, or if the law requires it. Without such a cause, we do not change these rules to your disadvantage for a challenge you have already entered. If we cancel or change a draw, we tell the people taking part.
12. Applicable law
German law applies. If you are a consumer and live in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country. Nothing in these rules limits your statutory rights.
