What is Longevity Nuremberg?

Longevity Nuremberg is a free, science-based community for people in Nuremberg who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the Nuremberg chapter of Longevity Cities and brings together people who want to talk about food, movement, sleep and stress in a relaxed setting, with no lab coat and no sales pitch.

The chapter is small and social. The Longevity Nürnberg Stammtisch began in April 2026 at Mischbar and returned on a Sunday in August 2026 at The Hummus Connection, a bouldering meetup took place at Café Kraft in the north of the city, and a hands-on workshop on healthy, vital living was held in Maxfeldstraße in May 2026 with a nutrition consultant and longevity coach. In June 2025 the group also joined Longevity Munich for a hike at the Chiemsee.

Joining is free: create an account, join the Nuremberg WhatsApp group linked on this page and follow new dates in the calendar. Longevity Nuremberg is a community, not a longevity center or medical practice. People come here to learn, compare notes on tests and check-ups, and ask experts their questions at workshops and talks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Nuremberg?+
Longevity Nuremberg is the Nuremberg chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy ageing. Members meet for Stammtisch evenings with healthy food, active meetups such as bouldering, workshops and the occasional hike with the Munich chapter. Everyone is welcome, and you do not need a scientific background, tracking devices or a fixed routine to take part.
Is there a longevity center or longevity doctor in Nuremberg?+
Yes, Nuremberg has private medical practices that offer prevention and longevity services, but Longevity Nuremberg is not one of them: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. A private check-up in Germany typically costs roughly 1,500 to 2,500 euros without imaging, and statutory insurance does not pay. Treat any promise to reverse your age as a red flag, and ask what evidence supports each test.
Where can I test my biological age in Nuremberg?+
In Nuremberg you can order an epigenetic age test by post (roughly 130 to 400 euros), have an extended blood panel done via your GP or a private lab (roughly 150 to 450 euros), or check fitness markers such as VO2max and grip strength for free with the calculators on this website, which also has a face-age test. Results from different epigenetic providers are not directly comparable, so pick one and repeat it rather than switching.
What longevity events and meetups are there in Nuremberg?+
Longevity Nuremberg holds Stammtisch evenings, active meetups and workshops. Past events included the first Stammtisch at Mischbar in April 2026, a workshop with nutrition consultant Markus Miersbe in May 2026, a bouldering meetup at Café Kraft and the second Stammtisch at The Hummus Connection in August 2026. New dates are posted in the calendar on this page.
Is there a longevity club or community in Nuremberg?+
Yes, Longevity Nuremberg works like a club with no membership fee. The Stammtisch is the regular anchor, held over dinner in a relaxed setting, and events have also been announced under the name Longevity Club Nürnberg. The Nuremberg region is home to the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, so science is close by. The Nuremberg WhatsApp group keeps everyone in touch between meetups.
Are there active longevity meetups in Nuremberg, such as bouldering?+
Yes, Longevity Nuremberg has organised a bouldering meetup at Café Kraft, a climbing gym with a cafe in the north of Nuremberg. Beginners and experienced climbers were both welcome, the focus was on trying things out, moving together and chatting. The chapter also joined a hike at the Chiemsee with Longevity Munich in June 2025, and new active formats are announced in the calendar.
Are there longevity workshops in Nuremberg?+
Yes, Longevity Nuremberg has hosted workshops. In May 2026 an interactive workshop in Maxfeldstraße with nutrition consultant, body therapist and longevity coach Markus Miersbe offered practical strategies for a healthy, vital life. Workshops are listed in the calendar with topic, speaker and any cost, and they are a good place to try methods yourself and ask questions directly.
How can I meet new people in Nuremberg?+
Longevity Nuremberg makes it easy to meet people: the Stammtisch is an informal evening with healthy food and conversation, designed for chatting with people you have not met. If you prefer moving, the bouldering meetup is another way in. You can come alone, and the WhatsApp group helps you find out who else is going before your first visit.
Are Longevity Nuremberg events in German or English?+
Most Longevity Nuremberg events are announced and held in German, from the Stammtisch to the workshop and the bouldering meetup. English speakers are welcome to join and chat, but you should expect German as the main language. If you are new to Nuremberg, the Stammtisch is a relaxed way to practise and meet people.
What does Longevity Nuremberg cost and how do I join?+
Longevity Nuremberg is free to join: create an account, join the Nuremberg WhatsApp group linked on this page and follow the calendar for new dates. At the Stammtisch you pay for your own food and drinks, for example at The Hummus Connection. For a workshop or a visit to a climbing gym such as Café Kraft, costs like entry or equipment can apply, and the event listing states them upfront.
