Longevity events in Austin

Nothing on the calendar in Austin right now. New dates land here first.

Longevity Austin is a free, science based community in the Texas capital for people who want more healthy years, and it is the Austin chapter of the Longevity Cities network. This city already lives outside: Barton Springs Pool holds near 70 degrees all year, the Ann and Roy Butler trail around Lady Bird Lake fills up before sunrise, and from June onward the heat decides when anybody trains. Dell Medical School at UT Austin sits a short drive from a software scene that treats its own sleep data like a product roadmap, which makes for unusually specific questions at a meetup. Free events carry the chapter: meetups, expert talks with researchers and clinicians, hands on workshops, community challenges lasting a few weeks, and social sport formats that suit the place. That means runs on the trail, cold water at the springs, sauna sessions when a member has access to one. Topics repeat because they matter: biological age, sleep, protein and nutrition, strength training, VO2max (the measure of how much oxygen your body can use under load) and how to read blood markers without panicking about a single value. Biohacking is welcome in the room, right up to the point where somebody asks which study that came from. One thing we are not is a longevity clinic, a longevity center, a paid health club or a coaching practice. There is no fee, nothing to sell you, and no treatment, test or diagnosis on offer here. Austin has built a busy commercial version of the same interest: concierge and age management practices, regenerative and stem cell providers, full body MRI and epigenetic testing companies, cryo and float studios, and several ticketed conferences a year that fill downtown hotels. Plenty of members try that world and report back honestly. The community Spots map gathers labs, gyms and studios as a starting point, with no medical endorsement from us. The group skews curious rather than expert. Software people, nurses, trainers, a few physicians, parents fitting training around school runs, retirees who have kept their own lab results since long before it was fashionable. Anyone in the metro is welcome, including from Round Rock and Cedar Park. Create a free account, join the Austin WhatsApp group, or just come to the next event without telling anyone first.

What a longevity meetup in Austin looks like

Cold plunges and sauna sessions, morning raves, run clubs, walks, and evening talks with researchers and practitioners. Most run 2 to 3 hours, all are free to attend, and biohacking newcomers are as welcome as people who have been tracking their biomarkers for years. Sign-up is per event.
