What is Longevity Denver?

Longevity Denver is a free, science-based community for people in Denver who want to stay healthy for longer. It is a chapter of Longevity Cities that is being founded right now, for anyone curious about the habits behind aging well, whether or not you ski, climb or run trails.

No events have been published yet, and we would rather say so honestly. The founding group will decide the first formats together. Easy starting points could be a walk around Washington Park or along the Cherry Creek Trail, a coffee meetup or a talk. Denver also brings its own questions: at roughly a mile above sea level, what do altitude, dry air and long sunny winters mean for sleep, training and recovery?

Founding members and co-organizers are welcome. Create a free account and follow this page, where the first meetup will be announced. Longevity Denver is a community, not a longevity clinic. Once it is up and running, people can come here to learn, compare notes on tests and check-ups, and ask experts their questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Denver?+
Longevity Denver is a Denver chapter of Longevity Cities that is currently being founded: a free, non-commercial community for healthy aging with science as the filter. It is meant for anyone in the Denver area who wants to learn about movement, sleep, nutrition and stress together with others. No events have been published yet, and the first ones will be announced on this page.
Are there longevity events or meetups in Denver yet?+
Not yet: Longevity Denver has no published events, because the chapter is still being founded. The good news is that early members get to shape the format, whether that is a park walk, a coffee meetup, a dinner or an expert talk. Create a free account and follow this page, and you will see the first date as soon as it is announced in the events calendar.
Is there a longevity clinic or longevity doctor in Denver?+
Longevity Denver is not a clinic or a doctor's practice: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. Private longevity clinics do operate in the Denver area, and in the US their programs typically range from a few thousand to over 20,000 dollars a year. Ask which physician is responsible for your care, and whether each test is guideline-based or experimental, before you pay.
How can I test my biological age in Denver?+
Common routes are a mail-in epigenetic age test (roughly 200 to 500 dollars), a yearly biomarker blood-testing membership (roughly 350 to 500 dollars a year) or a lab panel through your doctor. You can start for free with this site's VO2max calculator, grip-strength test and face-age test. At altitude, VO2max estimates can read a little differently, so compare like with like over time.
Do I need to be into mountain sports to join Longevity Denver?+
No, you do not need to ski, climb or hike to take part in Longevity Denver. Healthy aging is about sleep, strength, food, stress and friendships as much as trails. Plenty of Denver residents are not mountain people, and the community wants their questions too. Easy city formats such as a walk in Washington Park or a dinner are just as likely as a trip to the foothills.
Where can I find a biohacking or healthy living community in Denver?+
Longevity Denver is being built as a free place in Denver to talk biohacking and healthy living with an evidence check. Topics that fit well include sleep at altitude, heat and cold exposure, wearables, protein and strength training. It is not live with events yet, but if you join now, you help decide which topics come first.
How can I help start the Denver chapter?+
Create a free account, follow this page and get in touch to say you would like to be a founding member or co-organizer of Longevity Denver. Helpful contributions are simple: suggest a first meetup idea, offer a venue for a small talk, or invite one friend who is curious about healthy aging.
Is it free to join Longevity Denver?+
Yes, Longevity Denver is free: an account on this site costs nothing, and there are no dues or paid tiers. Once meetups start, an individual event may have small costs, such as a coffee, a meal or a venue fee, and the listing states them before you sign up. Free walks in Denver's parks would cost nothing at all.
