What is Longevity San Francisco?

Longevity San Francisco is a free, science-based community for people in San Francisco and the Bay Area who want to stay healthy for longer. It is the San Francisco chapter of Longevity Cities, often called Longevity SF, and it mixes movement, data and good conversation. You do not need to work in tech or biotech, just an interest in aging well.

The first event was a Golden Gate urban hike in January 2026, followed by a Mt. Davidson hike with matcha, a Stanford Dish loop hike, an evening of bouldering at Movement in Mountain View and a Longevity x Posture session at 101 Mission Street. In August 2026 the chapter joined Don't Die SF for a Donate blood, Get data drive at 250 Bush Street, run with Goodlabs.

Joining is free: create an account, join the San Francisco WhatsApp group linked on this page and pick a date from the calendar. Longevity San Francisco is a community, not a longevity clinic. If you are searching for longevity medicine in San Francisco, this is where you learn what check-ups involve, compare notes with members and ask better questions before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity San Francisco?+
Longevity San Francisco, also called Longevity SF, is the San Francisco chapter of Longevity Cities, a free and non-commercial community for healthy aging. Its first event was a Golden Gate hike in January 2026. Since then members have met for hikes, bouldering, matcha and talks on topics like posture and lifelong mobility. Anyone interested can join, no tech or medical job required.
Is there a longevity clinic in San Francisco, and what does it cost?+
Yes, the San Francisco Bay Area has a number of private longevity clinics, but Longevity San Francisco is not one of them: we are a free community and do not diagnose or treat. US clinic programs typically run from a few thousand to over 20,000 dollars a year, self-pay. Before you commit, find out which tests are guideline-based and which are experimental.
What is longevity medicine, and where can I find it in San Francisco?+
Longevity medicine is a fast-growing area of preventive care that uses blood biomarkers, fitness testing and lifestyle planning to lower your risk of age-related disease. In San Francisco it is offered by private practices, and you can start with your own doctor. Longevity San Francisco is not a medical provider, but our talks, such as Longevity x Posture, show how experts think about prevention.
Where can I test my biological age in San Francisco?+
In San Francisco you can order an epigenetic age test by mail (roughly 200 to 500 dollars), join a biomarker blood-testing membership (roughly 350 to 500 dollars a year) or track VO2max and grip strength for free with our online tools. In August 2026 Longevity SF also supported a blood drive where donors could get lab data in return. Epigenetic clocks vary, so treat one result as a snapshot.
What longevity events are there in San Francisco?+
Longevity San Francisco mixes outdoor movement with topic evenings. Past meetups: the Golden Gate urban hike, Mt. Davidson with matcha, the Stanford Dish hike, bouldering in Mountain View, the Donate blood, Get data drive with Don't Die SF and Longevity x Posture at 101 Mission Street. Upcoming dates always appear in the calendar on this page, and the WhatsApp group posts reminders.
Are there longevity hikes or bouldering meetups in San Francisco?+
Yes, hikes are a core format of Longevity San Francisco. Past routes include the Golden Gate urban hike, an easy summit walk up Mt. Davidson, the highest natural point in the city, and a 3.5-mile loop at the Stanford Dish. The group also went bouldering at Movement Mountain View, where a day pass was 35 dollars and shoe rental 6 dollars.
Can I join Longevity San Francisco if I do not work in tech or biotech?+
Yes, the community is open to anyone who wants to age well, whatever your job. Hikes and coffee meetups are easy places to start because you can simply show up and talk. Some events team up with other local groups, such as Asian Fitness Foodies for the Mt. Davidson hike, which widens the circle beyond the usual Bay Area bubble.
Are Longevity San Francisco events only in San Francisco?+
No, the chapter covers the wider Bay Area. Meetups have started in West Portal and downtown in the city itself, and also in Mountain View for bouldering and at the Stanford Dish loop on the Peninsula. Each listing shows the exact address, so you can decide whether it fits your commute.
What does Longevity San Francisco cost and how do I join?+
Longevity San Francisco is free to join: create an account, join the San Francisco WhatsApp group linked on this page and register for a date in the calendar. Walks and hikes are usually free. You pay only for what you use yourself, such as the 35 dollar day pass at the bouldering gym, and events with a booking, like the blood drive, say so in the listing.
