What is Longevity Liechtenstein?

Longevity Liechtenstein is a free community for the whole principality: everyone between Balzers and Ruggell who wants more healthy years and would rather see evidence than promises. The whole country is the point. End to end, Liechtenstein measures about 25 kilometres, so a single chapter covers all eleven municipalities, with Vaduz and Schaan in the middle. Small by design, which has practical advantages: whoever works at a bank in Vaduz or at Hilti in Schaan is rarely more than fifteen minutes from the next meetup.

Anyone curious about longevity in Liechtenstein will find a calendar of free meetups, expert talks and hands-on workshops. The subjects return on purpose: what an extended blood panel actually shows, how biological age estimates are built, strength training after forty, sleep, nutrition, plus VO2max (the amount of oxygen your body can burn under load). Biohacking has its place too, with the house rule that somebody will ask to see the study first. When the weather cooperates, the Rhine dam path and the trails above Malbun beat any seminar room.

We run no longevity center, no clinic and no health club with a subscription; Longevity Liechtenstein is a community, full stop. No membership fee, no treatment rooms, no sales pitch after the talk. Paid offers do exist nearby: the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz markets medical prevention a few minutes across the border, practices in the Rheintal advertise longevity checkups, and studios and coaches in Vaduz use the word as well. In the group, people say openly what actually helped and what only cost money. The community Spots map collects the addresses of the region; an entry on the map is information, not a medical recommendation.

The room is a cross-section of the country: people from the banks and family offices of Vaduz, engineers from Hilti and the industrial firms in Schaan and Eschen, students from the University of Liechtenstein, clinicians, plus cross-border commuters from Buchs and Feldkirch who come over every day anyway. Liechtenstein regularly ranks near the top of European life expectancy tables; the ambition here is to keep it that way with fewer guesses and better data. To start, create a free account, join the WhatsApp group or simply come to the next event in Vaduz. Nobody needs to apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Liechtenstein?+
Longevity Liechtenstein is a free community for everyone in the principality who wants more healthy years backed by evidence. We host regular meetups, expert talks and hands-on workshops on metabolic health, sleep, strength training, biomarkers and biological age, mostly in Vaduz and Schaan. One chapter covers the whole country, which takes about 25 kilometres from end to end. Attending costs nothing and there is nothing to buy. The room holds bankers, Hilti engineers, clinicians and everyone curious enough to show up.
Is Longevity Liechtenstein a longevity club or a health club?+
A club in spirit, yes: the same faces keep coming back. A commercial health club, no. Nobody here owns a gym floor or a treatment room, so there is no monthly bill either, which is the practical difference from paid clubs in the region. What you get instead is a calendar of free events plus a group chat where a question about a lab value usually finds a sober answer the same day. Paid studios and providers around Vaduz appear on our community Spots map, so both worlds stay visible.
Is there a longevity center in Liechtenstein?+
Not one run by us, and as far as we know no dedicated longevity center operates inside the country yet. Longevity Liechtenstein owns no premises, no devices and no diagnostics, and sells no programs. If you want a walk-in center, the closest candidates sit across the border, most prominently the medical resort in Bad Ragaz a few minutes south. In the group, members tell each other plainly what a visit actually delivered. Our Spots map lists labs, studios and practices in the region without medical vetting; an entry is not a recommendation.
Where do I find a longevity doctor or clinic in Liechtenstein?+
Liechtenstein has general practitioners and specialists, though as far as we know nobody currently advertises as a dedicated longevity clinic inside the country. Many members therefore look across the borders: prevention-focused practices in the St. Gallen Rheintal, medical checkups in Feldkirch, or the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz with its medical department. We are a community rather than a medical provider, so we treat nothing and prescribe nothing. What we offer is the honest experience of people who already tried a provider, plus a Spots map of addresses. A listing there is information, not a medical endorsement.
Does Longevity Liechtenstein offer longevity coaching or personal training?+
No. Nobody at our events will sell you a coaching package; that is the point of keeping everything free. Coaches and personal trainers do exist between Balzers and Ruggell, some of them good, and several members train with one. Bring your program to a meetup and you will get honest reactions, often with a study attached. If you are looking for paid support, the group chat is the fastest way to hear who in the region actually delivers. The Spots map helps with the search as well.
What longevity events and meetups happen in Liechtenstein?+
Regular free meetups in Vaduz and Schaan, expert talks with researchers and clinicians, plus hands-on workshops on blood panels, VO2max, sleep and nutrition. Biohacking comes up often, tested against evidence rather than hype. In summer the calendar moves outdoors: hikes above Malbun and easy runs along the Rhine dam count as sessions too. Upcoming dates are on this page and in the WhatsApp group. Most events fit inside an evening, because in this country nobody can claim a long commute as an excuse.
Is Longevity Liechtenstein free?+
Yes, completely. Events cost nothing, the community costs nothing, there is no membership fee and no paid tier. Volunteers run the chapter, not a business, so nothing gets sold at the events either. If a venue charges for drinks, that stays your only expense. The model is deliberate: good information about healthy aging should not sit behind a paywall, least of all in a country small enough that word gets around fast about what is worth the money.
How do I join Longevity Liechtenstein?+
Three doors, all free: create an account on this site, join the Liechtenstein WhatsApp group through the link on this page, or simply show up at the next event in Vaduz or Schaan. There is no application, no fee and no required prior knowledge. New faces get a warm welcome, since half the room started out with the same question about the same blood marker. If you commute in from Buchs, Sargans or Feldkirch, you count as local.
Where can I test my biological age in Liechtenstein (DEXA, VO2max, bloodwork)?+
Extended blood panels are the easy part: practices and labs in Liechtenstein and the nearby Rheintal draw them, and your GP can order most markers. DEXA scans and lab-grade VO2max tests usually mean a short trip, for example to providers around St. Gallen, Feldkirch or Zurich. Members share where they went, what it cost and whether the report was useful. Ask in the group before booking; someone has usually been there. The Spots map collects the addresses across the border triangle.
Which municipalities in Liechtenstein does the chapter cover?+
All eleven, from Balzers in the south to Ruggell in the north. The country is about 25 kilometres long, so a single chapter for all of it is not ambition, it is geography. Most events happen in Vaduz or Schaan because that is where the venues are, while hikes and outdoor sessions move around, up to Malbun when the season allows. If you can see the Rhine or the Drei Schwestern from your window, this is your chapter.
Can I join from Switzerland or Austria?+
Yes, and plenty of members already do. Thousands of people cross into Liechtenstein for work every day, so faces from Buchs, Sevelen, Sargans and the St. Gallen Rheintal are normal at our events, as are neighbours from Feldkirch and the rest of Vorarlberg. Longevity has no border control. If Vaduz is your closest venue, this is your chapter, whatever your passport says. For people based deeper in Switzerland or Austria, the Zurich and Vienna chapters may be the shorter drive.
Does Longevity Liechtenstein organize hikes, runs or sauna sessions?+
Outdoor formats are part of the program whenever the season cooperates. The Rhine dam is flat and fast for easy runs, the trails above Malbun and the Fürstensteig reward VO2max training with a view, and winter turns Malbun into the obvious meeting point. Sauna evenings happen whenever someone organizes one, which in this community is regularly. Everything gets announced in the WhatsApp group first, so join there if moving counts as your favourite longevity intervention.
